WELCOME TO FABIA JEAN

All throughout my life being intrigued and fascinated by personalities and attitude, my own especially, inspired me to bring out the clothes in my closet and reimagine, alter, or as my friend once simply put it, “fabulize” them with a new design and expression that best represented me.

 

Creative genes just so happen to run in my family of incredibly talented people on both my mother and father's side. My great grandmother Capitola Dewolfe and her sister Georgette, known as the Dewolfe sisters in the early 20th century, were famous Vaudeville performers traveling across the United States and Canada for over 15 years. My entire family background consists of fashion designers, dancers, choreographers, musicians, singers, sketch artists and models. Creativity is clearly in my genes.

 

So, It came as no surprise to anyone as I journeyed through life that I became involved in dance, choreography, production work for television/movies/commercials, acting, clothing design, and other forms of mixed media art. The fabia jean brand was created by me with a little help from my fabulous mother Andrea in 2004 when I concocted the idea to design and sell to my friends too.

So, for years I only did just that along with art shows, art-walks and trunk shows.

Not too long ago I decided to create a website to give the world a glimpse of what my personality and attitude looks like through clothing and other forms of mixed media art, and the opportunity to buy them too.

 

My creative juices are always flowing; therefore, my latest items will be uploaded monthly.
